Installation Options

A standard back-to-back setup involves positioning the indoor and outdoor units directly opposite each other on the same outer wall, typically within 3 meters (extensions possible). To facilitate connection, a wall opening is created for the gas pipelines and electrical wires, which are then neatly sealed and covered for both protection and visual appeal. Additionally, an accessible power outlet on this wall is necessary for installing an external isolator.

The positioning of the outdoor unit offers a degree of flexibility, allowing it to be adjusted laterally to better meet your preferences. This installation method is also applicable to properties with multiple stories, where the outdoor unit may be secured on a bracket or placed on a solid base, depending on the wall’s construction. Generally, the placement of the indoor unit directly above windows or doors is to be avoided.

In a Back to Side split setup, the indoor unit is positioned at a right angle (90 degrees) to the outdoor unit, typically against an internal wall that’s adjacent to the external wall where the outdoor unit sits. The installation involves routing pipes and electrical cables from the side of the indoor unit, through the wall, and then downwards along a protective capping to connect with the outdoor unit.

Depending on your preference, the outdoor unit can be installed on either a bracket or a concrete slab. This configuration is also feasible for buildings with multiple floors, albeit with the need for additional piping and cabling. It’s essential to have a power source close to the external wall where the outdoor unit will be located.

In the Up and Over installation method, the indoor and outdoor units arepositioned on different walls, necessitating additional piping and cabling. Theseextend upwards into the ceiling space and then horizontally to the external wallwhere the outdoor unit is situated. Placement of the indoor unit on an internalwall is viable only if there is an existing drain for condensation. If not, a smallconduit must be installed to direct condensation to an external drainage point.Additionally, an electrical power source near this wall is essential for fitting anexternal isolator. Both units offer lateral adjustment flexibility to accommodateyour preferences, with the stipulation that an appropriate drain setup is in place

This installation approach is also applicable to multi-story buildings, where the outdoor unit may either be bracket-mounted or placed on a base, depending on the wall’s composition. Typically, the indoor unit should not be installed directly above windows or doors.
